In Search of the Trojan War - The Legend Under Siege

Today on Far Future Horizons we join acclaimed BBC historian Michael Wood for the second episode of his acclaimed documentary series In Search of the Trojan War - The Legend Under Siege.

Conflicting interpretations of evidence lead some experts to believe that the Trojan War never happened at all. In this instalment of In Search of the Trojan War host Michael Wood traces the developments in archaeological techniques that provided evidence for the historical validity of the Trojan War.

In Search of the Trojan War is a 1985 six part British TV documentary series written and presented by Michael Wood. It examines the extent to which historical and archaeological evidence matches with the tale of the Trojan War as recounted in Homer’s The Iliad.

The tale of the Trojan War has fascinated and intrigued people for thousands of years. But is there any truth in Homer’s epic poem? Charismatic historian Michael Wood brings to life the heroes and the romance of the Bronze Age in this award winning archaeological detective story filmed in Greece, Turkey, Ireland and Berlin.

In Search of the Trojan War is available on DVD along with its companion book from Amazon.com.
