Today on Far Future History we present another exciting episode of the History Channel’s documentary series Big History.

This instalment of Big History explores the role water has played in the history of our planet and in human history.

Water is the miracle molecule, and mankind has used its perfect properties to revolutionize our lives. 

It was our first superhighway, the lifeblood of civilization, and gives us 90% of all the power we use today.

An effort to make Big History available worldwide is being funded by philanthropist Bill Gates. David Christian has named this effort the Big History Project.
