Our video presentation for today is narrated by Carol Meier and gives us a detailed tour of NASA's new deep space exploration Orion spacecraft.

The Plymouth Rock mission would have taken two Orion MPCV spacecraft, one modified for extended life support, and turn them into a single spacecraft that could undertake a six-month long mission to a small Near-Earth Asteroid. Promotional image courtesy of and ©Lockheed Martin.

Officially known as the Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle (MPCV), Orion is planned to take astronauts to the Moon, asteroids, and eventually to Mars.
