Scientists Rock - an Asteroid Day series

Today on Far Future Horizons we join the rest of the world in commemorating the second annual Asteroid Day by presenting this very special series of videos.

Scientists Rock - an Asteroid Day series

We are excited to share our special seven-part video series: Scientists Rock - an Asteroid Day series. The video series highlights the origins of Asteroid Day and the importance of asteroid detection, deflection, asteroid characterization, and having an emergency response plan. Each episode is different and gives insight to why asteroid awareness is critical. Asteroid Day supporters featured in the series include: Brian May, Rusty Schweickart, Peter Gabriel, Lord Martin Rees, Debbie Lewis, Mark Boslough, Ed Lu, Bill Nye, Patrick Michel, Lynne Jones, and Carolyn Shoemaker. We are very excited Neil deGrasse Tyson narrated Scientists Rock.

This series is 30 minutes long, subtitled in 15 different languages. Each episode in the series is approximately 4 minutes long and can be found on YouTube. Or you can download the videos in full high-resolution to screen at your local event, here. Within the Google Drive, you will be able to access the subtitles and instructions on how to use them. You can read more about the video series on the events blog.
