Atlantis has been linked to Bimini the Canary Islands Santorini and Troy among other places. What kind of people were the Atlantians? According to Atlantis scholars the Atlantians developed a technologically advanced civilization which has yet to be surpassed. 

But, such climes are very dubious and pseudo-scientific.

Many people claim to have found the location of the city which is said to have sunk to the bottom of the ocean in a day and a night. Perhaps it is currently under excavation.
