February 15th, 1564 with a two-hour NOVA documentary special titled "Galileo's Battle for the Heavens" which celebrates his life and achievements. Galileo Galilei is the father of modern Astronomy and this documentary is about his epic struggle to get Church authorities to accept the truth of his astonishing discoveries.
