Plymouth - Moon Colony

Today on Far Future Horizons we present one of the most expensive TV pilot motion pictures ever produced concerning the first human outpost established on the Moon – Plymouth.

The inhabitants of the small quiet town of Plymouth, Oregon have lived in their community for several generations when suddenly they are forced to evacuate their homes because of an environmental disaster involving radioactive waste.

In compensation they are offered the chance, by the very same corporate conglomerate that cause the environmental accident that destroyed their town in the first place, to rebuild their lives and relocate to a new world - The Moon.

This film originally aired Sunday May 26, 1991 with a guest appearance by Astronaut Pete Conrad, the third man to walk on the moon. It was one of the most expensive TV movies ever made and was also a pilot for a TV series that ABC did not pick up.
