Carl Sagan's Cosmos Travellers Tales

Today on Far Future Horizons we present the sixth episode of Carl Sagan’s highly acclaimed PBS documentary series Cosmos: Travellers Tales.

In this instalment of Cosmos we follow Dr. Sagan on a voyage through time and space and experience vicariously the trill and exhilaration of seventeenth century Dutch explorers who ventured in sailing ships halfway around our planet in their quest for wealth and knowledge and obtain an insiders view of the excitement at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) during Voyager’s encounter with Jupiter and the first glimpse of two of its moons Europa and Io.

The newly acquired treasures of our present golden age of exploration are the focus of this episode.

This thirteen part series is available on DVD along with its companion book from Amazon.com.
